This machine is a Vacuum Rapid Heated Pressing Furnace (VRHP or RHP) designed for making dense pallets under vacuum or the protective gas environment. A 15 kW temperature controllable induction heater is integrated into the system, which provides sufficient power for rapidly heating the graphite pressing die up to 1700 ℃. The Induction coil is built inside of stainless steel vacuum chamber. An electric hydraulic press is inserted from the bottom of the chamber, providing up to 5 tons pressing force.

Hydraulic Electrical Presser

  • Piston diameter: 60 mm.

Induction Heater

  • Working voltage: 208 - 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, three phase (380V three phase available upon request)
  • Working current: 40 A (with a 60 A breaker).
  • Maximum input power: 15 kW.
  • Output frequency: 30 ~ 80 kHz.
  • Duty cycle: 80%.
  • Max. Working Temperature :  1600  max duration time: < 30 min.
  • Ultimate Temperature: 1700  <1 min. (This might cause damage of thermocouple)
  • Air cooling: fan.
  • Protection: water pressure monitoring, high-temperature protection, and overpower protection.

Temp. Controller 

  • Working voltage: 208 ~ 240 VAC, single phase.
  • Precision digital temperature controller with automatic PID tuning.
  • Temperature profile that contains maximum 30 programmable segments to control heating, dwelling, and cooling.
  • Overheating and thermocouple failure protection.
  • Temperature accuracy: ± 3℃. 
  • B-type thermocouple.
  • Continuous working temperature range: 1000 ~1600℃.
  • lower temperature range (300 - 600℃) is available upoon request.
  • Maximum heating rate in vacuum (only for 0.5" inner diameter graphite pressing die; without any thermal block): 
    • 4 ℃/s ( 4 mins 50 seconds from room temperature to 1200℃)  
    • 2℃/s ( 5min 40 seconds from 1200 to 1300℃)
    • 1.5℃/s ( 6min 46 seconds from 1300 to 1400℃)
    • 1.2℃/s ( 8mins 10 seconds from 1400 to 1500℃)
    • 1℃/s ( 9mins 50 seconds from 1500 to 1600℃)
  • Experimental cooling rate in vacuum:
    • 3.5℃/s (~ 2 mins 20 seconds from 1600 to 1200℃)
    • 1.1℃/s (~ 8 mins 10 seconds from 1200 to 800℃)
    • 0.4℃/s (~ 21 mins 25 seconds from 800 to 500℃)
    • 0.16℃/s (~ 37 mins 15 seconds from 500 to 350℃)
    • 0.06℃/s (~ 104 mins 20 seconds from 350 to 150℃)

 Processing chamber & Sealing Flange

  • Stainless steel vacuum sealed chamber: 260 × 230 × 320 mm (OD × ID × L). 
  • Flanges on both ends of the chamber. Flanges have a tunnel for cooling water.
  • Equipped with a KF-25D vacuum port, pressure gauge, 1/4" gas inlet port with the stainless steel needle valve.
  • The upper flange can be lifted by raising the lead screw which provides the easy access to retrieve the graphite die.
  • Requires at least 55 liters per minute water flow.

Digital Pressure Gauge

Maximum pressure display is up to 10 MPa.

High-Temperature Graphite Pressing Die Set 

  • Two built-in graphite supporting rods with Max pressure 50 Mpa
  • One set of 0.5" (inner diameter) graphite die are included for immediate use.
  • Made of high purity graphite by HIP processing,  Max. Load from the hydraulic press is dependent on die 's ID
  • 0.5"ID   Max.  0.5T

 Application Notes

Attention: the gas cylinder must have a two-stage pressure regulator to limit the pressure below 3 psi for safe operation.
